Apr 5, 2016 11:13 AM in response to javaligaby summers73,HI,
the message reads....... (my login address) is already being used for shared purchases in (my login) family. Ask (my name) to send you an invitation to join family sharing......
trouble is - none of my devices seems to have me as the lead member so I can't send any invites out. I can send an invite from my wife to me - does it matter if we do it that way rather than the other. All the apps tend to be purchased under my account name - will she be able to access them that way do you know?

Apr 5, 2016 11:41 AM in response to summers73by javaliga,Are you and your wife sharing the same Apple ID? if so, you should each have your own. That is one reason for using Family Sharing>
See:
Family Sharing - Apple Support
Family Sharing and Apple ID for your child - Apple Support
especially:
Family Sharing makes it easy for up to six people in your family to share each other’s iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases without sharing accounts.
To participate in Family Sharing, all family members must have their own Apple ID.
As to: All the apps tend to be purchased under my account name - will she be able to access them that way do you know? Yes. From the above link:
"Other family members can access your collection in the same way. If you want to keep some purchases private, you can choose to hide individual items."
