Barclaycard now works, but Wallet still says issuing bank not supported

Hi all

As in title, Barclays now works for most debit cards and their barclaycard credit accounts (see https://www.barclays.co.uk/apple-pay) ; however, when trying to add either the AMEX or Visa Wallet still says  Pay not supported by Bank. I emailed the bank as I loath phoning them asking if they need to authorise or tick something to get it to work but wonder if anyone else with barclays including barclaycards if they added their cards to Wallet successfully? Thanks.

Yea I just wanted to know if anyone else was getting the message first. I figured out this issue, some accounts do not qualify, according to Barclaycard (http://help.barclaycard.co.uk/brochure/contactless_payments/anyone-applepay) including the rewards/cashback account I have. Typical. Allegedly it’s coming “soon” (for only the Visa not the AMEX as the account includes one of each) and note other Barclaycard users: some cards/accounts are not supported and don’t say they will be brought in, thus consider a new bank! Atleast mine is “soon”, but soon was a few months for  Pay itself.
