bootcamp partition renamed untitled after booting in MacOS

Can anybody please help me ?

I had succesfully installed Windows 10 on my Macbook Pro and ran Windows already several weeks smoothly.

Unfortunately I did not make a backup of my windows files yet.

Today when I booted to El Capitan to connect my iPad to iTunes Windows gave me a message that it needed repair when I tried to reboot to the bootcamp Windows version.

It did not succeed in repairing and only gave my an advanced options menu.

I booted back into MacOS to find that the windows partition was renamed to 'Untitled' and that no files were visible in Finder.

I than ran Disk Utility and selected First Aid on this partition, I thought this was read only to check for disk errors.

Now when booting from Windows it says no operation system available and Disk Utility shows 496 GB empty space on this partition !

I hope not all my files are lost !!

What can I do to repair the bootcamp partition ? I tried to install setup bootcamp files on USB but cannot boot from USB (does not show the USB drive)

yes, but when i boot with ALT selected it does not show the USB stick

Since you have a 2011 Mac, can you burn a DVD with the W10 ISO and try to boot from the DVD? USB booting is a pain on these.

ok, I ran out of empty DVD's so running to the store before it closes.

Any key I have to press to boot from DVD ?

Use the Alt/Option key after you insert the DVD you create.

Can you tell me what program to use in macOS to make a bootable DVD from the downloaded ISO file ?

In windows I used to use Rufus.... thanx

In OSX Finder, right-click on the ISO, and choose the Burn option. Expand the option in the new window that opens and choose the burn rate and verification after the burn. Let it mount the DVD on desktop as test. If you are satisfied, use this DVD.

OK i booted with dvd in place and i got two extra options..

one was Windows and the other was efi?

i Selected Windows and clicled repair my computer...

It was not able to repair startup...

should i try efi?

are there any other options?

getting afraid.....

it says c: does not contain a recognised file system

d: is dvd

x: is windows volume (ram drive?)

i get advanced options:

system restöre (to restore point)

system image recovery (recover windows using a specific system image file)

sstartup repair (which i tried)

command prompt

go back to previous build

Can you post the output of

sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

If it gives you an error, boot into Local Recovery and disable SIP using csrutil disable which allows Gdisk to write the GPT back to disk and makes it clean for OSX to be able to read it.

Do not change any partition information. We need to try and salvage data from your NTFS/FAT partition.

Shutdown your Mac, boot and hold Command+R together. You should see a Recovery console. In Utilities -> Terminal if csrutil command is not found, your Local Recovery HD is corrupt, otherwise run csrutil disable and check with csrutil status.
