Battery replacement iPhone 4S

Apple does not sell spare parts for their iPhones. Let Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider replace it. The repair is covered by a short warranty period and all Out-of-warranty options given by Apple will not be gone, which would be the case if a 3rd party or the user opens the phone.

Hi this doesn't directly answer your question, but reading it reminded me of a youtube video I saw a couple of weeks ago. I meant to get back to it once I was done watching the rest of the vids on some playlist I'd found. I must've gotten side-tracked by something fun, 'cause I forgot all about the video until reading your question about quality parts OeM etc.

I don't have a clue what the company name was, but thought I'd mention where I saw it, at least. Before I forget or some shiny object sparkle in the sun a little bit, and I wander off to investigate...

It was a battery replacement vid from a small shop somewhere in the US. And besides showing how to replace the battery, the tech or owner went into that fact that most places that offer these seemly great deals install cheap garbage that might look OEM original quality or better. But to make a profit they buy the cheapest they can find, which is just 3rd world garbage, with maybe a nice looking sticker, label or cover hinting of quality components.

He mentioned the higher cost of the batteries he sells and points out details of the hugely different wide ranging amounts of battery life, charge times, how often the cheaper stuff burns out early, or arrives at his shop DOA right outta the box. So he sells brand xyz that costs more, but is well made, quality stuff...And I think he mentions if your gonna DIY it, a pentalobe screwdriver is needed on certain model phones...I'd never heard of such a screwdriver in my life! So it was good to know....

And to make my long story short, I wanted to order one of his battery's for an iphone 4s I got as a hand-me-down , and will try find the vid again, once I get home and search where I was a couple of weeks ago.

I just noticed my curser jumping around a bit. I does this annoying thing once i a while after getting warm..Sometimes it jumps and inserts itself into a ffferent sentence, and I don't notice and keep typing away..Can make for some veryinteresting and ******** **** being said....let me know if anyghing seems randomly copy+pasted together and seems insane. It wasn't me
