Apr 6, 2016 9:18 PM in response to King_Penguinby Rustyorange,Thank you for responding to my question. Appreciate the time you took.
I would have never installed Bit Defender if I hadn't found it in the iTune App Store. It was recommended to me and against my better judgment it was downloaded because it was in the store. This was done last fall. I can not find it in the app store at the present time so ???
I did attempt to uninstall it using the instructions "Uninstall apps". It would not uninstall with the X delete button. I didn't find an uninstaller in the app so I clicked on Applications and drug the app from Applications to the Trash and then emptied the trash.
I don't know if this uninstalled the complete program. Can not find mention of it in apps or finder. But--
Once again, thanks for all your help. It is appreciated. T

Apr 6, 2016 11:49 PM in response to Rustyorangeby King_Penguin,You won't find it in the iTunes App Store, that is for iOS apps (for iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches) - it's still in the Mac App Store here in the UK
There is an uninstaller available on the developer's website : http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/support/removing-bitdefender-antivirus-for-mac-661. html
