Q: Can't open on a pc Powerpoint files exported from Keynote 6.6.1

I had to give a large presentation today and could not because my powerpoint file, exported from Keynote (6.6.1) was not visible on my flash drive on the client's pc.  They have the latest version of ppt.  The file was visible when I tried to open it on another pc with an older version of Powerpoint.

This was not an issue before, ever.  Who is screwed up, Apple Keynote or Microsoft Office, and why hasn't Apple fixed this?

I have Yosemite 10.10.5 on a Retina 5K display iMac

On your Keynote 6.6.1 application menu, select Provide Keynote Feedback, and communicate directly with the Keynote product team. They are not reading posts in this community, any more than Apple management. We are not Apple employees.

This is also the reason that I (and others) seriously recommend using Office 2016 for Mac, and providing native Microsoft document formats (e.g. ppt) for accurate and functional document interchange with the PC world. None of Pages, Numbers, or Keynote are Microsoft clones, and their export to the respective Microsoft formats is a translation that Apple does not guarantee will be accurate.

You have to be on your toes, because saving from the current Pages, Numbers, and Keynote to Microsoft formats deposits the document on a USB stick with the extension hidden. You will have to correct this in a Get Info panel apparently before feeding the USB stick to a Windows PC.

Thanks for your reply VikingOSX - it's good to know how I can contact product team members, since there are so many things that I am frustrated with in Keynote, Numbers, and other Apple software products.  And I will check out Office 2016 - did not know it exists.
