I just opened iCal on my iMac (OSX 10.11.4) and all of my work appointments have disappeared. They are still there on my iPhone and iPad. How can I fix this?

Is your Work Calendar listed when you choose, Calendar>View>Show Calendar List?
Is your "Work" Calendar an iCloud calendar?
