Q: Thunderbolt display USB and speakers get disconnected while the display is on

Started happening recently, the usb and display speakers stop functioning within a few minutes of connecting to MBPro. Tried it with another MBPro and issue persists with both devices. The display however remains connected except the USB/speakers.
