    Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear that you are having this issue with your Apple ID. I'm a bit unclear on what exactly you are looking to do, but if you are currently running 10.11 El Capitan, you may want to double check to see if you are using two-factor authentication (as opposed to two-step verification), which does not use a Recovery Key.
