Q: How do I set up a new adult member on family sharing

You can be a part of only one family at a time. Here's what you need to set up Family Sharing:

Sign out of every Apple service and device that uses your Apple ID.

Be aware that previous iTunes & App Store purchases are permanently tied to an Apple ID. They cannot be transferred or swapped. (You will be able to share them within the "Family" but another user cannot download them to his own account, for example.) So it is important to decide who keeps an existing Apple ID and who is going to change it.

Apr 6, 2016 7:50 AMby javaliga,I just realized I probably burdened you with a lot of information about CHANGING your Apple ID that you do not need to know. In your case your will probably be CREATING a new Apple ID for one or more family members. However, the info I provided about past purchases still applies.
