How to share a Photos slideshow with Mac & PC folks
I developed a slideshow on my iMac using Photos. How do I share the slideshow with friends, some with Apple devices and some with PC devices ?

export it from Photos as a Quicktime move - that will run on either a Mac or a PC (the PC must have the free QuickTime installed)

Thanks Larry,
However, I want to share the slideshow with PC folks who are distant. Is there a method of placing my slideshow on the internet ?

MailDrop
You can use Mail Drop to send files that exceed the maximum size allowed by your email account provider. Mail Drop uploads large attachments to iCloud, where they’re encrypted and stored for up to 30 days.
- If you have an iCloud account and you’re signed in to iCloud when you click Send, Mail automatically sends the attachments using Mail Drop. Mail Drop attachments don’t count against your iCloud storage.
- If you don’t have an iCloud account, or if you’re not signed in, Mail asks you whether to use Mail Drop (to always use Mail Drop select “Don’t ask again for this account”).
If a recipient uses Mail in OS X Yosemite or later, the attachments are included in your message. For other recipients, your message includes links for downloading the attachments, and their expiration date.
You can turn Mail Drop on or off for an account. Choose Mail > Preferences, click Accounts, select the account, click Advanced, then select or deselect “Send large attachments with Mail Dr
DropBox
YouTube
Etc
None of those involve Photos in any way though - each has different features and restrictions and is supported on its own

Larry,
Thank you so much for a revelation. Works great via Mail Drop, a method of which I was unfamiliar. I was able to send a 131 mb slideshow to many Mac & PC friends across the USA.

You are welcome
Glad it worked - Apple does provide some amazing capabilities but finding them can be tricky

I have finally figured it out!!
Airdrop photos from iPhone to Mac Photos. Create slideshow. Export to hard drive. Airdrop movie file to phone.
Find it in iPhone Photos, click on it, then hit the share button at the bottom.
Select “iCloud Photo Sharing”, Name it and select a new “Shared Album”.
Send to self. Can add recipients later, then select “post”. It creates a public link.
Next in iPhone photos, down at the bottom (see image below) select Shared, then select the album you named, at bottom select people, make public (so they don’t have to log in) and Invite people through text or email.
Note: To use iCloud Sharing, you need to have it on in our phone settings. Go to Settings, Photos & Camera, turn on iCloud Photo Sharing.
