Cannot get macbook keyboard replaced despite coverage

I have a Macbook Pro 2015 and its left shift key is malfunctioning. I have confirmed that it has coverage till November 2016 but the 'authorized service providers' in my city won't accept my coverage since I didn't buy the macbook from them.

Is this true? Is your coverage invalid if you did not buy your Apple device from an authorized reseller?

Just want to report here as I don't know a better channel. I went to two 'Authorized Service Providers' iStore and iRaffles both in Lahore, Pakistan and they both refused to fix my macbook because I did not have a receipt from an authorized reseller. Finally, got my macbook fixed under warranty from FutureTech in Gulberg. I think Apple should take action against those companies.
