MacBook Air regularly won't detect any networks

My MacBook Air (mid-2012) regularly (about once a week) will randomly stop detecting any wireless networks. My other devices connect fine. I turn off the wireless on my laptop for a while (sometimes restart it) and then it suddenly works again. This happens about once a week and sometimes takes up to 12 hours to start detecting networks again.

Hello Anna,
I understand that you are having intermittent issues with connecting to Wi-Fi networks on your MacBook Air. Let's see if we can get this sorted out.
The first place to start is by using Wireless Diagnostics. This will help identify any settings that need to be changed or potential issues with the network that you have already joined. Take a look at the article below for more details to help you out.
