Mail App crashes and won't open

It started with someone sending me a Mail Drop attachment link and my trying to open it - now the Mail App won't open at all. Can't check new emails; can't write new ones either.

How does Apple expect us to use Mac as a business machine if we can't rely on the most basic app? This is an app that shouldn't fail.
