Q: iPhone 6 receiving extremely poor WiFi connection?
Hello! I'm new to Apple forums, so this is my first ever post here. In advance I might apologize for any unwritten forum rules that I may break within this post as I have little to no experience with forums in general. But, I digress.
I'll do my best to make my issue concise. Basically, every device in my household, be it a phone, computer, or game console, receives a fantastic WiFi signal, regardless of whether it's wired or wireless. My iPhone 6, however, has just recently started to give me some extremely bothersome issues. Essentially, I cannot travel more than, say, 15 feet from my router without my connection altogether dropping. Even within this radius I'm getting a consistent 1-bar connection strength, and it is still dropping my signal occassionally and forcing me to use my data, which is not only very inconvenient for me, but also very aggrevating, as I will be completely unaware when I'm streaming a video that my wifi has given up and that I'm using tons of data. I have updated to the latest iOS, cleared space on my phone, restarted the router and even cleared my data usage cache, all in hopes of an acceptable signal strength, but to no avail. For clarification, this issue has never been present prior to only a few days ago. Typically, my wifi strength is fantastic, and I can still stream videos about 2 houses down the block with little issue. When I'm in my house, I will never get anything lower than 3-bars. This issue has caused me to go far over my data plan and costed me far more money than I expected. Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.1
