Q: Unable to connect iCal to iCloud?
I'm running El Capitan (10.11.4) and this morning I noticed that iCal had stopped working for me - I closed it (force quit since it gave the beachball for a while), and when I restarted it, all of my calendars were gone! I tried disconnecting from iCloud and then reconnecting - everything else (Contacts, etc) sync, but iCal refuses to connect to iCloud for some reason. Nothing syncs, and I can't create an iCloud calendar (the only option I get is "on my Mac"). Anyone have any idea how to resolve this? Thanks.

Adjutantman,
Backup your iCloud Calendars, and disconnect from the internet.
Force quit Calendar.
Then paste this text ~/Library into the Finder Menu>Go>Go to Folder...window and select "Go." This will open the Users Library Folder.
Open the Calendars Folder which is in that Library Folder, and move any any files with "Cache" listed in the name field to your Desktop.
Next open the Preferences Folder in that same Library Folder and move the com.apple.iCal.plist file to the Desktop.
Log out/in or restart and open Calendar.
