how to play a video and send sound to a bluetooth speaker

i have been playing video on my iPad mini and using a separate bluetooth speaker to play the sound . Now that i have started using a new app from mhz the sound will play through the speaker but the video will not display on the screen. I says Airplay Device but does not show any video as though it is connected to a apple tv . What can i do.
