Q: OSX Server will not work with iOS File Sharing

Hey all,

I've been having a problem with the iOS File Sharing feature of File Sharing on OSX server and it's driving me absolutely bat-crazy.

Every time I try to access my remote share on iOS, the connection times out, and I can see the following in my Server logs:

Apr  7 20:28:35 towerdevs sdmd[79712] <Error>: #@com.apple.main-thread: Could not connect to Postgres. Please make sure it is running and has the correct access.

Apr  7 20:28:52 towerdevs sdmd[79712] <Error>: #@com.apple.main-thread: [PostgreSQLClient.framework] Error executing query [SELECT value FROM schema_version]: ERROR:  relation "schema_version" does not exist

LINE 1: SELECT value FROM schema_version

                           ^

I have absolutely no idea how to fix this, and it is a fresh install of OSX Server. Anyone know what the problem is?

OSX Server, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

I have the same issue. I've clean-installed both El Capitan and Server twice but have not been able to get this to work properly. My post is here: Problems with iOS File Sharing on Server 5.1.

In my case, the iOS clients will work for a short period of time before the problems start.

I've filed a bug with Apple. It would be great to hear if anyone has found a work-around while we wait for a fix. I'm kind of stuck without this.
