Q: Device not recoginzed. Tried all the fixes. Any other suggestions

I've tried all the suggested fixes to get ITunes to recognize the device and still not working. It will pop up briefly then go to the error message. Any suggestions on other things to try?

It will pop up briefly then go to the error message.

Does it "pop up" in iTunes? What does the error message say, exactly? '

Edit: Also, do you use a Mac or Windows PC? If Windows, what version?

Windows 10. It is not showing up in Itunes only on my home screen. As soon as I go to click on it I'll get the "device not recognized" fault. I've tried to do a reinstall and went into the lockdown in program files but nothing. I see where I might have to remove Itunes and all related files. I'm going to try that now and reinstall from scratch. Thanks, Dan

Yes, that would be a good thing to try... Here's the Apple document on the procedure, if you are not using it

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later - Apple Support

Remove the listed components in the described order.

I have the same problem and none of those solutions worked. I have removed itunes and 4 times today. I called Apple and the response I got was and I quote "We have no clue."
