There is no special "charger" for the 6th gen iPod nano, if you mean the 30-pin USB docking cable. If it's the older type, with a bigger "handle" on the dock connector, you need to squeeze the sides (of the connector) to unlock the small latches. If it's the newer type, it has a smaller connector, and it's held in place by friction only (no latches).
