Apr 8, 2016 9:42 AM in response to acceofredby léonie,★HelpfulWhen trying to share a photo from Photos to Mail, it will not move photo.
t tends to hog the system & lock it. It does not allow copy & paste to copy photo into Mail. It stops Quit form Photos.
What can I do to correct this?
Aer you only using copy and paste? Have you tried the Share menu in Photos? Share > Mail?

If Mail is missing from the Share menu, see this bug fix:
If Share options or Markup is missing after upgrading to OS X Yosemite or El Capitan - Apple Support
Also, instead of copy and paste, it should suffice to drag and drop a photo from your Photos window to the open Mail form to attach a photo.
Or, if you are composing a Mail you should be able to attach a photo using the Photo Browser in Mail:
Click the Photo Browser icon in the New Mail window to browse your photo libraries directly from Mail.

Thanks for the help.
The Share > Mail doesn't work for me any longer. This is the method that I have previously used successfully.
The Photos browser has worked, thanks.
Again, thanks for your very descriptive & successful help.

That's was my next action. You prompted me to get on with it but I was not successful. For some reason, within the instruction that had to be keyed in the a in Frameworks the a key shows as an o. I attach screenshots of the stages I achieve.
I think the solution will be to get a genius appointment at my local Apple store for them to have a look. I do think that the problem started after the ElCapitan update as the article suggests.
Thanks again

Apr 8, 2016 10:57 AM in response to acceofredby léonie,The Terminal command to type in is very long - there is a scrollbar below the Terminal command in the link I posted.
This text below needs to go on one single line:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -seed
Try again, perhaps it will work.

Jun 9, 2016 3:48 AM in response to léonieby acceofred,Just to clear up the situation.
I tried the solution offered but it didn't work.
The resolution, a visit to Solihull store where it was identified that I had updated IOS so many times that they had to have the MBP in & reload the system from scratch.
I them restored from the backup which g==has proved successful so cannot send from Phoyos using Mail.
Thanks for your efforts.

Jun 9, 2016 5:58 AM in response to acceofredby LarryHN,It is not clear
have you resolved your problem or have you not?
I them restored from the backup which g==has proved successful so cannot send from Phoyos using Mail.
you say you were both successful and that you can not send from Mail
and this is crazy
The resolution, a visit to Solihull store where it was identified that I had updated IOS so many times that they had to have the MBP in & reload the system from scratch.
there is no IOS on your Mac - it uses OS X , only mobile devices like pads and phones use IOS - and it is not possible to "update too many times" - maybe they simply could not figure the issue out and started over from scratch rather than solve it which may be the right answer occasionally - but that is no ever because you "updated too many times"
