MacBook Pro randomly goes to sleep on Windows 10 (Bootcamp)

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro (late 2011) running OS X 10.11.4 with Windows 10 installed on Bootcamp partition. Recently, I have noticed that after about 40 minutes of playing games (eg. Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3), my laptop randomly goes to sleep even if the Power Setting on Windows 10 has been set to "Never" when running on AC power. However, I can wake it up but the problem arises from time to time after those 40 minutes have passed.

System specification :

  • Intel Core i7 2760QM processor (2.4 GHz)
  • 4 GB RAM
  • AMD Radeon HD 6770M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory
  • Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory
  • Mac OS : OS X 10.11.4
  • Bootcamp (Version 5.1) : Windows 10 Pro Version 1511 Build 10586.164

Has anyone experienced this before? If so, is there is a fix?

Thanks.

Hi Loner T,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Actually the logic board of my MacBook was replaced in 2014 due to this fault. I am not sure whether it's a problem with the logic board because I do not get any issues with distorted video or no video. It's just that the laptop goes to sleep after about 40 minutes in Bootcamp.
