How can I make an external hard drive into extra RAM on a MacBook Air?

Hello,

I am using a MacBook Air:

Is there any way that I could make an external 50GB drive into some extra RAM for my computer? I want to get VR but it will be quite pointless unless I have my game graphics turned up to maximum and my fps (frames per second) is high - like above 90 fps. I am playing unturned and right now my graphics are on low and medium but I would want them on ultra to get the best experience. Is there any way that I could make the drive extra RAM? By the way I don't want to hear stuff like it will just make your computer slower and what it will let me do or how good unturned is, all I want to know is how to make the external drive (50GB) into extra RAM.

Thank you

Adam

A few things on that:

1. Is there any way that I could go to apple to get my RAM replaced and upgraded?

2. Can you get external RAM to plug in through USB?

3. I've had 3 windows computers all with anti-virus and within 1 week of having them they were full of viruses.

4. Alienware cost about £1,500 (about 2000 USD) and I'm not going to spend that much, so something cheap but fast with a good graphics card would make me happy.

1. No

2. No

3. So what? That has nothing to do with Apple, Macs, or OS X.

4. Again, so what? This is an Apple forum. We don't give a hoot about Alienware or any other Windows platform.

Oh! So you don't want to hear the truth.

Well I will tell you any way.

The MacBook Air is not a game playing computer and there is nothing you can do to it to make it into one. The MacBook Pro would be much better. But really in order to get what you want you need to get a Windows laptop such as Alienware.

1. The RAM on the MacBook Air is soldered to the logic board and there not upgradeable by anyone, including Apple.

2. I don't think so

3. You might consider selling your air and purchasing used a MacBook Pro instead. MacBook Pros made before 2012 are upgradable and I'm sure you can get them for less than £1500. PCWORLD in Tottenham court road even sells what seem to be brand new ones For around £700.
