    Shouldn't be.

    Force restart your iPhone.

Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

    Then try the camera app.

Yes this is an issue with me as well.

I reached out to Apple Support via twitter (to see if I'd actually get a response, and they DID respond!), but no positive outcome.

I restored the phone, then installed the backup - this failed. Camera issues still persist.

I plan to do the restore once again, but will test the camera out before I backup the latest profile, as it could be possible that bad data somewhere could have caused the problem.

The team then suggested to go take the device to an authorized service pro, or Apple store for investigation but I can't see how they would do anything different. Even if the camera is replaced, i dont believe there are moving mechanisms that would fail and thus, the issue may persist and that would  have been time wasted.

This likely happened due to poor QA, the system can be buggy and the company is all too grand to allow this through

"Planned Obsolescence"? , I dont know, I just want my camera fixed.
