iPad charging backwards while plugged in

I got a iPad Pro late last year. I have noticed that while it is plugged into the original transformer and the cord that it came with or anything else that I loose power while plugged in fairly fast too. What is happenin

Force Restart your iPad then try charging the battery.

Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Only use the cable and power adapter that came with the iPad.
