apps not showing in settings

I have an app that was showing in Settings until around the last IOS update. Now it is not there; therefore I cannot receive notifications. I loaded the same app on my iPhone (same IOS), and it shows in Settings and I receive notifications. How do I get the app to show in the iPad settings? The app is showing on the iPad itself, and I am able to access it.

iPad, iOS 9.3.1

Hi SharmFarm. It seems like, if the Settings app is running and other apps need memory, Settings may release the space used by the user-installed apps. If you force quit Settings, then re-open it, it should show all the apps.

It is backing up to iCloud every day. I also backed up the iPad on my computer. The app still does not show on the iTunes app list.

While not all apps are backed up to iCloud having something on your device and it not show up in iTunes is very unusual - maybe that is the root cause of your troubles - somehow it is corrupted and not able to function normally

You have a choice to make I suppose

Continue to use it as is or risk losing the data if you delete and download

Have you tried to contact the app developer and see if they have any advice?

I have contacted the app developer. They said to delete it and reinstall as long as I have a backup. They said Facebook or email. I don't have a Facebook account and really don't want one. I have written back about the email - not sure what they mean. I guess they don't work on weekends. 🙂 I did install it on my iPhone - shows in Settings and sends notifications but doesn't show on iTunes either. Weird.

Thank you for your time and help!

I also have this problem only since updating to the newest version of IOS.

I read one reply to this issue to reset all setting which I did, and my apps came back to the setting page as normal at the bottom.

Once I closed this function and went back to settings they vanished In front of my eyes.

I read the message from Apple.com/help which suggested turning off and back on my I phone 6S, I did that and turned back on again, as I scrolled to the bottoms of the setting page they were all there again, but within a second all vanished again, is there an update problem with 10.3.2 ?
