Newbie Xcode profile provisioning issue and trouble registering device on Dev Member Center

Help! I am a newbie Xcode user. Just signed up for developer account (free version added to my existing Apple ID). I am following a tutorial to make some changes to the Apple TV 4. In the tutorials which seem very helpful don't have extra info for possible issues like the ones i seem to be facing at every turn. As much as google can be helpful it can also be a timing sucking vacuum of the soul. I have a life to live so any help to expedite the answers to these issues would be greatly appreciated.

- Launch Xcode → click Create a new Xcode Project → select Application under tvOS → Single View Application, and click Next. Done

- In the Product name field, insert a unique name like KodiAppleTVforYourNameHere (Done, but then i have a problem I can't find the answer to...) and click Next → Create

The "Organization Identifier" is blank and I don't know what to enter and the tutorial says nothing...

- Under the Team drop down box, select your personal team, and click the Fix Issue button to resolve provisioning issues. You will need to ensure that you are signed into Xcode with a free Apple developer account. You can learn how to do that using this tutorial.

I get a "no provisioning profiles found"

Upon clicking "fix issue" I get a pop up saying "No Device - Creating a profile requires having a device registered in the member center."

So I went to the Member Center and can't find where to register a device....nor can I find comprehensive instructions (for a novice like myself) on how to do so. I tried following these instructions but had issues as shown below.

1. Sign into Developer.apple.com....

2. Go to the “Member Center.” (This isn't an option I see...)

3. Go to “Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles.” (Went straight to this...)

4. Choose “Devices” on the left navigation. (nowhere to be found...and am stuck here....)

....5. Click on the “+” sign to add a device.

....6. Enter a name for the device, and the UDID.

....7. At the bottom of the page choose continue when you are done.

....8. At the bottom of the page choose “Register” to register the new device. Repeat these steps to add up to 100 devices on a regular account.

These steps in themselves seem easy enough, but I keep finding myself in a position that certain things I need to do just aren't there...like the devices section not found in the developer member center?

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
