Photo app won't let me email any photos

whethwr it's one photo selected or several, when I select and attempt to send photos to someone from within the photo app, it refuses to recognize any of my current email addresses, including my default set address. It asks me to add a new one. To test it, I added a Gmail account from with the Photo app throwing me into the Settings app. It still wouldnt let me send any photos.

WHy is it refusing to accept and use the email addresses I already have? Why won't it even use a new one I made just for that moment?

P.S. Please don't tell me to upgrade to newer OS. It was like this even when my OS was the current one. I know FOR A FACT that upgrading WILL NOT fix this.
