Bug in Storage??

93.22 + 10.48 + 3.54 ~= used 108 GB


But my actual used memory is ~= 62 GB...


Why would the bar shows such information?

my question how do you know that you have only used 62 gb?

well

by looking at that picture what i am seeing is your apps are taking very large space

look its not about only the size of apps after you run that app the app produces some files of its own

they can be 1mb or 1gb depend on apps

my advice-

1. delete the apps which are not useful to you

Yes, there is a bug. Reindex Spotlight as stedman1 suggests which may correct the display.


To get an accurate picture of what you have on your MBA, download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and Grand Perspective (both free) and open them. They will show all of your files and the respective sizes. Transfer to an external HDD or delete files you no longer want on your MBP.


Do not forget to empty trash. Only then is space allocated for new data.
