My Apple ID has been locked for security reasons. I don't have any details to recover my account as the account was created by a 6 year old kid. How do I unlock my account to use the same ?

It is illegal for a 6 year old to create an Apple ID.
You can make a genius bar appointment with Apple and bring along the Apple original receipt.

Lock or unlock ? If lock then you could type in the wrong password a number of times so as to disable it.
If you mean unlock then it will depend upon why it's locked. If for security reasons try : If your Apple ID is locked - Apple Support
Otherwise try contacting iTunes Support ('contact us' link bottom right of every page on here) and see if they can/will unlock it
