iPod Classic error message 1439- Cannot be restored.

Hi, Yesterday I tried to update my iPod Classic and when I went to plug it in it said that it needed to be restored. When I opened iTunes and clicked the restore button it came up with the error message of "the iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1439. I looked online for some solutions and I've tried updating iTunes, unplugging it and plugging it back in again, tried a new USB port, tried putting it into disk mode and nothing has worked.

Are there any other solutions that I could use or will I need to go and get it repaired?

Thanks in advance,

Matthew.

Some of the things you mentioned are listed, but there are other suggestions. For example, try disconnecting all USB devices (you can leave standard USB keyboard/mouse connected if used), and connect iPod to a direct USB port on the computer, by itself. Or temporary disabling security software.
