Q: itunes does not sync future events in my calendar from my iphine to my Mac

I am using El Capitain on my Macbook Pro. iTunes will not sync future events from my iPhone 5S tcalendar to my computer. What am I doing wrong? I've tried syching again (multiple times), I have updated the iPhone to iOS 9.3.1. I don't know what lse to try.
