By any chance we're able to figure this out? I have an iPhone 6 and I have the exact same problem. I have about 800 pics and videos yet when I open it up, it shows one video, YES ONE VIDEO!! I've tried the import pics option as well but nothing. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Try a Forced Restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. You will not lose anything.

A Forced Restart would not prompt that message. The message is more akin to what one would get trying to import the pictures to a computer if they have been imported already. Is that the case?

Also when you say only 4 in internal storage, where are you looking at? The phone Photos app or the computer?

Try importing them instead of copying them from the DCIM folders:

The link provided only helps you if you install iTunes, ugh. The problem is the ability of windows 7 to see all the dcim folders. Downloading from iCloud is broken, too.
