Q: Latest iOS.
I have an iPad mini. Following the last iOS update, iTunes view of the device got all confused and I could no longer sync with my PC
using iTunes. iTunes seemed to think the iPad had exceeded its memory by several Gb. I did a software reset and rebuilt
the iPad from scratch. Everything seemed to come together (including the sync) except FaceTime and Messages (so far, at least).
If I try and using Settings for FaceTime, for instance, it asks me to sign in with my Apple ID
(which I can do on iTunes or the Apple web site), it won't do it. Instead it asks me to enter a password
and then says an email will be sent so I can confirm my ID (same thing if I try to use FaceTime directly).
The email is never received; not clear why it was necessary in the first place. I have received emails offering
to let me reset my password (which I actually did once and, again, the new one works with Apple and iTunes but not FaceTime - or Messages).
My network works fine (on the iPad and several other devices) so I don't have a network problem.
Any ideas?
