Screen complexly white
When I turn on my Mac Pro all I get is a white screen with a circle about the size of a dime on the center. The circle has a line through it. Also I just installed captain last night. Been working fine day until now

that occurs when an important file needed to boot up Mac OS X is missing or damaged.
You may need to do a re-Install in place. (erase is generally not needed).
Prohibitory symbol
When you see a circle with a slash symbol instead of the Apple logo, it means your Mac couldn't find a valid System Folder to start up from.
If you're using your Mac at a school or business, it might be trying to start from the wrong version of OS X. Contact your IT department for more help.
If this is your personal Mac, try reinstalling OS X by using OS X Recovery.
If you do not format the startup disk no data should be lost
