Activating apps over and over

is there a reason that I have to activate and reactivate my account logins on my apps? It seems like I have to do this 2-3 times a week with FXNow, NBCSN, Showtime and HBO. It's always having me log onto their activation pages it's just a little annoying? Why do I have to provide my account information so many times?

I have this problem as well. I have to repeatedly activate network streaming apps. Very annoying when sitting down to watch something, then have to get up, find my computer (activation doesn't always work from my iPhone), then reactive the app. The provider I use is DirecTV and currently using an AppleTV 4. I think this might have been an issue with my ATV3 as well.


Might be a Cable/Satellite provider issue and not an AppleTV issue. HBO says that some providers require periodic re-authentication:
