How can I show hidden partitions in the new Disk Utility?

In Yosemite (10.10) and previous versions of Disk Utility I have been able to enable debug mode to show the hidden recovery partitions via a Terminal command. However, in El Capitan (10.11) the terminal command changed nothing. So how do I view/show hidden partitions in El Capitan?

I'm trying to use an external HDD for a diagnostic tool and I do not want the recovery partitions on the external so that I save space.

Does this command show all hidden partitions?
I realise that it shows the recovery/EFI OSX partitions, which I assume are probably hidden. But I've heard of other ways of changing a partition to hidden by using a third party program to change the UUID or something like that. Will Diskutil list display all partitions, regardless of the method used to hide them?

~ Cheers.
