Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For any payments to be processed through either the iTunes Store or App Store, a data connection is required. This can be either a Wi-Fi connection or your iPhone's cellular data connection. If you're having issues with your Wi-Fi connection then I suggest taking a look at the link below.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network

Apr 12, 2016 3:47 PM in response to Kf1058by swandy,If you have the proper amount of funds in your iTunes account AND both the iTunes account and your Apple Music are signed in with the same Apple ID, it should automatically deduct the monthly fee from your iTunes credit. (I know it did for me.)
