location sharing not working properly through Family sharing

I have 3 kids - each have their own iPad and their own Apple ID

1 device keeps reverting to 'not sharing' and only 'not sharing' to me, the 'Family Organizer', another device I had to restore last night (as a new device) has been setup and now it is 'not sharing' location with me, even though I know I did the proper steps and have enable restrictions to avoid even accidental change.

How do i stop this from happening? it is very frustrating as I am the only adult with an apple product in the family and I am the only one that can't see where the devices are and all my kids are under 10 years old and they leave their devices either at home or at their grandparents, I am not getting 'last location' when I look and the only way I can find them ultimately is making them ping.

How do i fix this as it has been going on ever since Family Sharing was started.

Same issue here. It begun yesterday in our 2nd phone and I'm the family organizer. I have restrictions on, but without turning restrictions off, I fixed it under iCloud settings to share. I could then see the location. This morning I can't see the location again: the other phone is back to not sharing location.

When I fixed the find a phone in iCloud last night on the 2nd phone, I received a message on my organizer phone that find friends was sharing now from 2nd phone. No, I did not touch nor do anything related to find friends.

This is just a guess, but it may have something to do with "Restrictions". Try going to:

Settings>General>Restrictions>ShareMyLocations

See if "do not allow changes" is selected. If so, unselect it. Once Location services are enabled, then again select, "do not allow changes".

Also just an FYI.... saying that "it has been going on ever since Family Sharing was started" does not give us very much information. When was it started? Last year? Last night? Two minutes ago?
