I wish to synchronise frames per second from my camera to a finished DVD

I am trying to make DVDs using video footage from my Panasonic camcorder. How do I synchronise frames per second so I don't get a juddering effect?

iMovie '11, iMac OS X El Capitan 10.11.3

Are you using iDVD for this?
