Q: Can I transfer apps etc. from a broken phone to a new phone with iCloud?

Hello everyone

So I got an Iphone 4s, 8gb and I've had it for almost 2 years now.

I have dropped my phone countless of times and today my led screen went crazy.The whole screen is dark and in the background, it's like every app i go on and everything that I saw on my screen, just kind of 'stains' into the background. (unless I power it off for a while, then the stains are gone again)

Now, I want to prepare myself for when it might actually break, I want to sync my photo's, apps and notes to iCloud so I'm sure that I can put it back next month when I buy the iPhone SE.

I have followed each step for making a back up on my iCloud, or iTunes but it keeps saying that it failed, even though I turned the back up on for every app etc.

I don't know what to do and I really need my photo's and especially my notes.

And if my phone actually breaks, will the backup still be on my iCloud (.com)
