Q: Ipad to Ipad mirroring via AirPlay?
I am a musician using an IPAD Air to play backing tracks in a band. My other singer needs to see my display. I am currently using the Lightning VGA adapter with a cable to a VGA monitor. He now has an Ipad and am looking for a way to mirror without the cabling.
I have tried Reflector 2 on a laptop, and used AirPlay from MY laptop, but was not able to connect 2nd IPAD to that stream?
Anyway, I have been reading about AppleTV and AirPlay.... it seems to me that the following should work?
1. Hook up an Apple TV with an HDMI Extractor box to separate the Audio from the HDMI. Send that AUDIO to my mixing console like I have been doing directly from my IPAD.
2. Connect my IPAD to the AppleTV via AirPLay and select Mirror to send my display to the AppleTV. I understand that the Audio will go there as well.
3. Use 2nd IPAD to connect to the APPLE TV without mirroring.
The 2nd iPAD should then see my screen....right?
Questions:
1. Would this work?
2. Would there be any delay between the two screens?
iPad Air, iOS 9.3.1, AppleTV 3rd Generation?
