Q: How to reset Apple ID security questions

I've been wanting to purchase music on my new iPod, but apparently I need to verify my identity with security questions that I wrote years ago and haven't got a clue what the answers are. The Apple ID site gives me an option to send an email to my rescue email in order to reset the questions, which I have access to, but the email won't send; either the link on the button is broken or there is an error in communications between the Apple ID system and the older email (which works fine). I have tried this both on a computer and on the iPod touch itself, with the same results. Any tips on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated

iPod touch, iOS 9.3.1

Unless the reset email is in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple's Account Security team to reset your security questions. To contact them, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
