MacBook Screen Won't Turn On

Hey everyone, earlier I was using my MacBook like normal, making a school project in iMovie, and then all of the sudden I pressed a key because I was typing, and my screen went black. I have tried rebooting, and restarting. I know the computer is still on because I can hear my alerts going off etc. I hope someone can help. Thanks!
