Q: Turn off iTunes autostart when Windows starts
Every time I start my desktop iTunes starts. It takes a lot of time and power from the processor, that I prefered to use how I want, not by force from iTunes. I´ve unintalled iTunes serveral times because of this. But to make backups and take advantage of the benefits it actually provide, I had to install it again. It is very sad that you don´t have a simple way to do this. Believe me... I´ve tried many ways, but nothing I did worked. msconfig and the autostart don´t help in any way. In iTunes there is no option for this (at least not where I can find it). In the system registry I don´t have the energy to search for it and take chances to totally destroy my current Windows installation....
So please if someone knows... Share....

I believe that in some cases Bluetooth driver software may be responsible for mystery launching of iTunes. What items are in your notification area? See also Autoruns for Windows, this can be a useful tool for selectively disabling startup items.
