Adjusting width of top bar

how do I adjust the top bar to fit on the screen? I would like to view from the Apple logo to include day, time, search and drop down. Currently it is too wide and I have to scroll off the right or left..

I thought I had solved the issue but I didn't . Pls help.

Maybe your screen is "zoomed in." To turn off the screen zoom feature...

This is the forum category for Leopard; in Leopard, open System Preferences Universal Access pane Seeing tab. Set Zoom to Off.

If you're using the current OS X (El Capitan), open System Preferences Accessibility pane. Click Zoom in the sidebar, then uncheck Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom.

Or you can leave this feature enabled (as long as you know to use it to zoom in and out).
