Can I insert a Numbers spreadsheet into a Word for Mac document?

I would like to insert a simple three-column table (spreadsheet) that I created in Numbers into a Word for Mac document. Can't seem to make it work. Any suggestions?

OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

I would expect it to work, but since you are posting here presume it does not. I do not have MSWord installed so I cannot try any suggestions.


1) try selecting there table, copy

2) launch the application preview, then select the menu item "File > New from clipboard"

3) select the table by pressing and holding the mouse button the to top-right corner, then drag to the bottom-left, now release the mouse button, copy

4) switch to word, paste
