I recently changed email providers and updated my Apple id to reflect that. However, iCloud keeps wanting me to verify information but is still prompting me with my old email address so it will not accept my valid password with the invalid email. How do I get iCloud to know my new email when my Apple id is already reflecting this?

Go to the System/iCloud preference pane and sign out. Reboot, go back and sign in again. See if that will jump start iCloud with your new email address.
I have the same problem, but when I try your solution to sign out, I get a message that I must put in my email and password. According to Apple Id, that email address does not have an account.
