Q: Album artwork not updating for video podcast

Hello,

 

Our cover art is not displaying correctly in iTunes, it is displaying an old image which had a different URL.

A similar change was done for another podcast where its showing the correct image.

It can take some days for a changed image to appear in the Store. The new image is OK with one possible issue - its file size is 834kB; it used to be the case that images had to be less than 500kB, though it's not certain that this still applies - Apple never specified this, but more recently I believe I've seen the odd larger one. You might consider reducing the file size to be on the safe size - as the image is quite simple this shouldn't degrade the quality. Apart from that it's probably just a question of waiting - the Store can get quite sluggish sometimes. If after a time it still hasn't updated you could try contacting Support: go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

    Thank you Roger for your prompt response! The size.of the album art where its working is around 800kb too, so I don't think size should cause a problem here. And its been more than a week now since iTunes hasn't updated the artwork. I have sent an email to the support now as you instructed. I will update this thread when I hear a response.

    Support team from podcastsupport@apple.com was able to help us upload the new album art. We are now able to see the updates. Thanks!
