Q: ATV music stops playing

When I play the music on our AppleTV our screen saver is set up to appear in 2 minutes. When the screensaver appears the music stops. I have looked on the forum to check if anyone else has had this issue and found posts from 2008. Idouble checked the settings to allow screen saver amd music to work together but, it still stops. Does anyone know if there is a known issue?

FYI after you click on the remote, it starts up again.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), iOS 9.1

Seems to work fine for me. Have you tried either resetting (rebooting) or restoring the device?

I have the exact same issue, it only just started today though.  Before today this wasn't an issue and it would just keep playing like normal after the screensaver came on.  In the past even going to the home screen didn't stop the music, unless you opened another app that wanted to output audio.  But now just going back to the home screen stops the audio.  Like you said though, as soon as you click on the remote and the screensaver goes away the music resumes.

Edit:  So yea restarting the Apple TV does fix the issue.  But the random "error" that always shows up when playing any music has returned.  But I'd take the random error over the stopping of my music any day.

THank you! I unplugged the Apple TV and restarted it.  It works fine now.
